Since its beginning in the early 1940's as the Civic Music Association, the Hagerstown Community Concert Association (Hagerstown Live on Stage) has endeavored to bring classical, contemporary and affordable concerts to the Hagerstown area. Hundreds of memorable musical offerings have graced local stages, starting at the "old" Hagerstown High School, moving to the "new" North Hagerstown High, and then progressing to the historic Maryland Theatre in downtown Hagerstown. While most of the artists presented were, and are, already world-famous, many of the performers showcased here during their early careers have achieved even greater fame.

While many things have changed over the years, the opulence of The

Maryland Theatre has endured. With superb acoutistics, open views and

comfortable seating, the Theatre is a venue appreciated by patrons and

performers alike.
